National Health Sale

National Health Sale

The biggest offer in history
Step by step no mystery
They are selling off the NHS
Roll up, roll up get more for less!

Thatcher kicked it off with PFI (Private finance initiative) repayments,
Now the cost of paying for hospital land is outrageous.
New Labour kept the private sell offs hushed,
People love the NHS, killing it can’t be rushed.
Another big moment was the Health and Social Care Act,
Not that anyone barely even registered that.

Now the Secretary of State for Health, is no longer legally responsible for the health of British citizens.
That’s the whole point of a National Health Service,
Removing accountability means lives just aren’t worth it.

Now the NHS has to look after itself
No longer accountable to the Department of Health.
CCGs (Clinical Commissioning groups) – sell to the highest bidder
Conflict of interests? That’s just for beginners.
Sit on the panel in the dragons den,
But own shares in one of the companies (you’ll be backing them)

Corruption? Well isn’t everyone a sinner?
YOLO! Everyone’s a winner!
Tear yourselves to shreds to fight for a smaller dinner,
Fight amongst yourselves,
The portions are still thinner.
How can they make the public give thanks?
Fill up TV panels with Pro-Private think tanks.
It’s so much fun this commissioning lark,
No one understands it, we’re all in the dark,
Private companies make slicker bids – hardly surprising,
Billions spent on private contracts and rising.
Billions spent on private contracts and rising.

How can they speed this process up?
Chronic and complex disorders mess it up,
Plus they went a bit ham on social care cuts,
I mean they went too far, literally nuts.
Plus there’s no beds, no money, no staff,
The public might wake up soon, they better think fast!

How about more elective contracts? After all, that’s where the money’s at.
How do they do it? Change the staff contracts.
Illegal, unethical? Superfluous facts.
7 days worth of services to bid for,
Thats nearly 30% more.
Under-resourced already, No extra staff,
That’s the definition of a hospital pass.
The workforce stretched even more,
Standards dropping, from bad to poor,
Surely the public will find it all too much,
And will be gagging for a way to patch it up?

Plus there’s the looming TTIP
(Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership).
Blurring the laws between countries,
(American companies) using the NHS to recover from their profit dip.
Enabling corporations to get hands on the dollars,
Sterling is stronger so that means more dollars.
So whatever is left that is still state owned,
Will get sold off quicker than claims for second homes.
And the best thing is if they do a bad job,
No one will know cause FOI (Freedom of information) requests can’t touch the Mob.

The biggest offer in history

Divided We Fall

He came from a terraced house, average area,

No starvation, drought or malaria.

Asian mother, British dad,

Younger brother, life’s not bad.

As a young kid he grew to know death,

Three dead relatives not even 10 yet.

Pain and suffering that was a sure bet,

Poverty is hard to forget.

It wasn’t even that bad, his mum grafted,

Only earning pennies but knew how to last it.

Money was the goal he knew had to earn it,

School was the path to that so he learned it.

He didn’t get why his dad couldn’t cope,

Depression was the enemy of which we never spoke.

He didn’t know the terrors that were hidden in the night,

Luckily his mum had dreams that were right.

Piano and tennis lessons, not toys,

Not football, never one of the boys.

Reading, times-tables and homework,

Talent the framework, mixed with hard work.

If we stick together we can defy,

Elitist rulers who would rather see you die.

Divided we fall, United we rise.

Divided we fall, United we rise.

Skip to the good bit, now he’s a doctor.

That reality may not shock you.

Most of the media trained to thought block you,

Conditioned to believe that the foreigners will rob you.

Too damn busy to see the details,

Chasing the paycheck, slave to the retail.

Statistically you will earn less,

If you’re Black, Asian or Female.

How can this be fair?

The establishment don’t seem to care.

In fact they are much more than aware,

They use their power to keep them there.

Government cutbacks, rising poverty,

Only the rich will get to learn properly,

Only the rich will get to own property,

Fostering fear to maintain authority.

“Our borders must be closed, terrorism grows through mass migration”

How can immigrants be the enemy when immigration formed this nation?

If we stick together we can defy,

Elitist rulers who would rather see you die.

Divided we fall, United we rise.

Divided we fall, United we rise.

If we stick together we can defy,

Elitist rulers who would rather see you die.

Divided we fall, United we rise.

Divided we fall, United we rise.

Everybody’s fighting to be the best,

When death is the only certainty.

Trying to put each other down, macho leaning,

Spitting about spilling out your burgundy.

I feel for your pain, it’s hurting me,

I walk in your shoes, that’s empathy.

Wondering why you never heard of me?

You’re still learning to rhyme like nursery.

Everybody is chasing success immediate,

15 years and I am still dreaming it,

But there’s several ways of achieving it,

Unity, Peace, Equality, I believe in it.

Every person I’ve learned to help that’s still breathing,

Is living proof I’m succeeding it.

I’m trying to give back to the culture,

Stop biting the hand feeding it.

My dream was personal gain,

We’ve all been programmed to think the same,

But half the world is starving it’s got to change,

Weapons trade, corruption, it’s so deranged.

Consume their products, they tax evade,

Let’s shoot a silver bullet at these suckers like blade.

Why should the villains get paid?

Viruses die without the hosts they invade.

You can forget all the rest of them, but please remember this line,

Nothing is more powerful, than a free mind.
